In accordance with Article 9(2)(c) of the Sixth Directive 77/388/EEC on the harmonisation of the laws of the Member States relating to turnover taxes, an overall service at a fair or in a exhibition hall provided by an organiser to a exhibitor, “the place of the supply of services … shall be the place where those services are physically carried out”.
The Court of Justice of the European Communities has in case C-114/05, Gillan Beach, established that the place of the supply of an overall service at a fair or in a exhibition hall shall be the place where those services are physically carried out in accordance with Article 9(2)(c) of the Sixth Directive 77/388/EEC on the harmonisation of the laws of the Member States relating to turnover taxes.
