GDC 2012
This year’s GDC in San Francisco took place on 4-8 March, as always in the halls of the Moscone Convention Centre. The Nordic games industry were represented on the Expo floor in the North hall with a fully packed Nordic Pavilion, this year organised by the Swedish Trade Council.
On 7 March, Nordic Game invited all the Nordic GDC participants and their partners and friends to the annual Nordic Party. This year we strived to bring something special to the table. Prior to the party, and in partnership with the New Nordic Food Program, we organised a dinner reception, where 150 specially invited guests could enjoy a menu composed by Swedish chef Pelle. The innovative theme for the many delicious dishes was “New Nordic Computer Food”, and to accompany the menu, a special game about Nordic food called “Jumping Suzy” was presented by its creators.
The reception was a perfect kick start for the following party, where more than 750 guests joined us and made the night unforgettable. A very big thank you to our party sponsors from Funcom, as well as the people at the Manor West venue who worked hard to keep the liquids flowing.
