AzPlay, the annual International Festival of Independent Games, 29 November – 3 December in Bilbao, Spain will host the ninth qualifier of NGDC’s second season, with five game developers ready to enter the live-pitch competition on 30 November.
Each of the five NGDC contestants in Bilbao will pitch their game in front of a panel of experts, who will then decide on which project deserves to win and go on to the NGDC finals at next year’s Nordic Game 2018 conference.
“I think the Nordic Game Discovery Contest is a great opportunity for Spanish game developers to get their game projects discovered,” says AzPlay coordinator José Maria Martinez Burgos. “This makes it an excellent opportunity for local developers to establish contact with essential agents for their evolution, such as investors or publishers.”
“We are so happy to add AzPlay to the NGDC tour calendar,” adds Nordic Game program director Jacob Riis. “The Nordic Game Discovery Contest is designed to help developers getting their projects discovered, and we’re very excited to see which of the chosen game projects will make it to the finals.”
Five Spanish games have been selected for the NGDC at AzPlay, and they are:

Zeus Software presenting MOW (Minimal Over Wheels)
DevilishGames presenting Path to Mnemosyne
Team Gotham presenting Solo
