Flashbulb Games, the studio behind the sandbox open-world game Trailmakers and the cross-play party game Rubber Bandits, is pleased to announce the appointment of senior games executive Pim Holfve as its new CEO. With more than a decade at Avalanche Studios Group, seven of which as CEO, and previous experience at King and Electronic Arts, Holfve brings a wealth of industry knowledge to his new role.

“We are thrilled to welcome Pim as Flashbulb Games new CEO,” said Christopher Haakonsson, Chair of the Board of Flashbulb Games and Partner at its parent company, Nordisk Games. “His exceptional leadership and proven track record at Avalanche Studios Group have demonstrated his ability to drive profitability and maximize potential. We are confident that, in collaboration with the Flashbulb team, Pim will lead a strategy that ensures continued success.”

“I couldn’t be happier, and honoured, to join such a gem of a studio,” added Pim Holfve. “Over the years I’ve had the great fortune to get to know Flashbulb, and what they have achieved so far is nothing short of amazing. I really look forward to taking this to the next level with this amazingly talented team.”

Following Holfve’s appointment, co-founder and current CEO Rune Dittmer will step down.

“We want to thank Rune for his invaluable contributions as a co-founder and CEO of Flashbulb Games. He has been instrumental in shaping the company and we wish him all the best going forward,” said Flashbulb chair Christopher Haakonsson.
