Nordic Game is providing extra support for developers seeking new challenges and companies searching for new talent this May, offering nearly 100 developers from the region and across Europe complimentary passes to NG23 Spring, including full access to the popular MeetToMatch matchmaking platform free-of-charge.
“Networking and finding new opportunities is possibly the most important part of our events, and something that can be problematic online,” says Nordic Game founder and managing director Erik Robertson. “If we can help someone move forward professionally and someone else find a valuable new team member, we’re very happy to have done so and to have offered extra value to everyone involved.”
Nordic Game has a tradition of reaching out to individuals and groups in need of support. In 2022, the organisers offered indie game developers fleeing the conflict in Ukraine free exhibition space to show their products, meet with clients and make new friends in the industry.
“The games community may be global, but we are still a family. And families help each other,” adds Erik Robertson. “If anyone knows of a developer in need of assistance – or if they themselves could use a hand – contact us and we’ll do our best to help out.”
NG23 Spring takes place in Malmö, Sweden on 23-26 May. With ticket sales breaking records daily, over 2,500 participants are expected for this edition, both online and at historic Slagthuset. As well as expanded networking and matchmaking activities, this year’s event prioritises security and accessibility, aiming to make this twenty-third edition of Nordic Game the safest and most welcoming yet.
