The Developer Showcase area at the upcoming conference will be bigger and better than ever. More than 100 new games and projects will be on display during the show from 21-23 May, and we’ve had to expand the showcase floor to make room for all of them. A major part of the expansion is the new dedicated Dev Showcase Stage. Managed by Nordic Game in collaboration with our favorite Swedish indie collective Spelkollektivet the stage gives the exhibiting studios and developers a great opportunity to listen to valuable talks, and even go on stage themselves with their own session/presentation!
While the detailed program schedule will be announced closer to NG24 Spring’s kickoff, there are already a few very exciting sessions in place. On 21 May, and as part of the special “Day Zero” event for publishers, investors and media, the day will open with a presentation of the Mighty Diamonds, the exclusive mentor network partner of the show https://nordicgame.com/mighty-diamonds/, and it continues with the Nordic Game Speed Pitching Session. Hosted by Nordic Game’s Jacob Riis, this is the session for all publishers and media who wants to get a glimpse of the future and meet new developers from all over the world. The participating dev showcase exhibitors each enter the stage with only one minute and one power point slide to convince the audience of their game projects’ qualities.
During the actual conference days, the stage will also be filled with great talks, all yet to be announced. But one session is already a given: The Nordic Game Pitch Battle. On 22 May three selected exhibitors from the showcase will pitch battle each other live onstage in an entertainment game show format for points, honor, and a great prize from our dear partners from ChaseACloud.
