Intern with Nordic Game! Seeking a project for a few weeks or to take charge for several months, we’re looking forward to hearing from you very soon 🙂
Update: We’re currently seeking an intern to join our online community team:
Are you a team player who enjoys interacting with gaming communities? Familiar with event organising? Savvy about social media and group messaging platforms (especially Discord)? Interested in fostering a community online?
If this sounds a lot like you, then we would love to have you as a intern supporting our online community. Being a part of our team means making sure that during our upcoming Nordic Game conference (mid-May) that people are having a great time online and our rules of conduct are being followed.
You would also be on the first line of contact to the community regarding the program schedule and other event information. If you have ever moderated a social media group, this internship is a perfect opportunity to gain valuable experience related to large-scale events.
Note that we conduct online communication in English, so additional Nordic and/or European language ability is appreciated but not required. This is also a remote/work-from-home internship.
Nordic Game is also seeking people with a burning interest in games, development, organisation, media/press and event production to intern with our team. You should be an independent and structured person, with strong social skills. You master the computer fully, with additional skills such as Google Docs and MS Office package meritorious.
You should also be able to write in fluent Swedish and be proficient in English, as we work very internationally. If you can juggle many balls in the air and are a problem solver, then we’re looking for you. We work together closely, and you’ll be included all the way.
Internship can be both on-site at the Malmö office and from a distance, part-time or full-time, project-based or as a member of the event team, all depending on which position you intern for and your availability.
***Most importantly, you’re ready to start working with us either soon after applying or from an agreed upon date several months prior to our next major event (each year in May and November).***
Here are a few comments from a recent intern with Nordic Game 🙂
”The internship was very giving in many ways. I learnt many new things, like making an offer regarding deals with sponsors and organising bigger events. Since I was given freedom regarding a lot of decisions, I was forced to consider options carefully instead of just following orders without having to think for myself. It made me feel like a big part of the team, and not just some coffee-making person in the background.
I also thought a lot of how I could compliment the team best and find my place in it all, since there is so much to do at once. In the end it felt great.
Finally I would say that a person who is comfortable with responsibility, does not need too much guidance, is able to think and act with flexibility, communicative and knows how to juggle many priority areas will have an incredible time with the Nordic Game!”
