Industry legend Peter Molyneux joins NG25 Spring
It’s a great pleasure to devote our very first NG25 Spring speaker announcement to the legendary Peter Molyneux, joining Nordic Game at Slagthuset in Malmö, Sweden on 20-23 May.
Peter Molyneux is one of the most recognisable faces in the games industry; with four decades of landmark titles, he’s considered to be one of the world’s most innovative and celebrated game designers.
As former creative director of Microsoft Games Europe, founder and CEO of Bullfrog Productions, Lionhead Studios and now 22cans, Peter is a savvy business leader and the designer of popular and highly acclaimed games like Populous, Theme Park, Syndicate, Theme Hospital, Dungeon Keeper, Black & White and the Fable franchise. He’s received multiple Lifetime Achievement Awards from BAFTA, the GDC Awards and the Academy for the Interactive Arts and Sciences.
Despite his legacy, Peter still considers himself to be just getting started. His current endeavour, 22cans, stepped into the casual genre in 2012 with Curiosity: What’s Inside the Cube?, which won an award for Online Innovation at the Develop Awards, then came Godus, now celebrating its tenth anniversary, followed by The Trail, honoured as one of Apple’s Top 10 Games of the Year and most recently Legacy, an innovative blockchain release.
Now Peter returns to PC and console development with Masters of Albion, a reinvention of the “God game” genre that Peter is widely regarded to have created early in his career. Peter will talk about this and much more at NG25 Spring.
