Four stellar speakers join NG25 Spring
Following our first speaker announcements last month, including legendary developer Peter Molyneux as well as award-winning duo Josef Fares and Oskar Wolontis, Nordic Game program director Jacob Riis reveals four more high profile additions to NG25 Spring.
“It’s amazing to see the flood of speaker submissions we’re getting from across the industry,” says Jacob Riis. “Being able to present this quartet of industry experts, joining us six months before our next show, is an example of how Nordic Game continues to be a magnet for talent, expertise and innovative thinking.”
Harry Krueger
Starting his career as a gameplay programmer for Q-Games in Kyoto, Harry moved to Finland, where his appreciation of timeless gameplay values made him a perfect fit for Housemarque. During his 15 years with the studio, he became a key figure in defining Housemarque’s explosive, neon-infused, bullet-hell inspired creative identity, working on award-winning titles like Outland, Resogun and Nex Machina.
Most notably, Harry was game director on the hit roguelike shooter Returnal, which took the studio’s trademark action formula to triumphant new heights and went on to receive widespread critical acclaim and multiple awards, including 4 BAFTAS and Nordic Game of the Year at the Nordic Game Awards.
Harry recently announced that he’s departing Housemarque – and at NG25 Spring you’ll be among the first to learn more about his next adventure.

With her talk Rewriting History: How to Keep Your Ahistorical Game Historical at Nordic Game in May, Veronica will ask the important question: How can we ensure that historical plausibility is never lost while maintaining player agency?
Marie Mejerwall
Having led creative teams on famous game franchises around the world, former game director Marie Mejerwall now works as a consultant, public speaker, analyst and mentor, helping game studios to succeed and investors to pick developers with high potential to do so.
Diving into Essential AI Systems for Combat Games, Marie will walk through the AI combat systems of Batman Arkham, Deus Ex and Dead Rising at NG25 Spring, revealing the under-the-hood details that make combat in these AAA franchises immersive, readable, challenging and fun.
