Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Lead Writer Jennifer Svedberg-Yen Confirmed for NG26
Nordic Game is thrilled to reveal that Jennifer Svedberg-Yen, Lead Writer and Voice & Localization Producer on the critically acclaimed Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, will join the NG26 Spring speaker roster at Slagthuset in Malmö, May 26–29, 2026.

Svedberg-Yen’s storytelling has been one of the driving forces behind Sandfall Interactive’s breakout turn-based RPG, a title that has dominated 2025 “Game of the Year” conversations and racked up nominations across major award shows, including a record-breaking 12 nominations at The Game Awards 2025. The game also swept the Golden Joystick Awards 2025, securing seven wins, including Ultimate Game of the Year.
In her NG26 session, Jennifer will pull back the curtain on crafting emotionally charged narratives, weaving philosophical depth into gameplay, and leading voice direction for a project that has been hailed as “a love letter to classic JRPGs with a distinctly European soul”.

“Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 has reminded the entire industry what storytelling can achieve when it dares to be bold and human at the same time,” said Jacob Riis, Program Director at Nordic Game. “Having Jennifer on stage to share the creative process behind one of 2025’s biggest surprises is an absolute coup for NG26.”
An award-winning writer and founder of JSY Creative Ventures, Jennifer also works as a creative consultant for studios worldwide, bringing her signature blend of emotional resonance and philosophical inquiry to interactive experiences.
Her addition joins an already stellar lineup featuring BAFTA-winner Jesper Kyd (audio track headline), Andreas Juliusson (Fast Travel Games CMO on hybrid VR marketing), and Tatu Petersen-Jessen (AI track opener). With many more to come – watch this space!
