Audio Track Returns to NG26 – Jesper Kyd Headlines Day One!
After last year’s successful audio focus at NG25 Spring, Nordic Game brings back the Audio Track for NG26 Spring, kicking off Tuesday 26 May – the first day of the conference.
Flagship Session: Kyd Meets Ombler on Main Stage
This year’s first headline: Jesper Kyd, the Danish legend behind Hitman, Warhammer 40,000: Darktide, Assassin’s Creed, and Borderlands, in an exclusive NG Conversation with Mat Ombler, Head of Music & Gaming Partnerships at Laced Records. Mat and Jesper will take the main stage at NG26 to discuss Kyd’s musical journey, creative process, and scoring the cinematic grimdark of Warhammer 40,000: Darktide.

Kyd’s Iconic Sound Legacy
Kyd’s scores – from Budapest Orchestra-backed stealth noir in Hitman: Blood Money to synth-driven chaos in Darktide – have defined generations of games. His work is raw, cinematic, and instantly recognizable.
Bonus: Ombler’s Cult of the Lamb Metal Deep-Dive
In addition to the NG26 Audio Track program, Mat Ombler will present a standalone talk on Laced Records’ Cult of the Lamb metal EP, featuring Trivium, Polyphia, and Killswitch Engage – proof that game music can cross into real-world culture.
