Nordic Game is pleased to reveal the studios and titles selected to compete live at NG24 Spring in Malmö next week!
On Wednesday 22 May at 14:00 CEST, the three selected teams will take the stage at the Developer Showcase arena for the Nordic Game Pitch Battle, a fierce but fun competition sponsored by our dear partners from Chase A Cloud.
The three contestants have been selected from over 100 game startups and growing studios participating in the NG24 Spring Developer Showcase. They are:
About Cannons + Sparrows (Germany), with their game “About Cannons + Sparrows”
About Cannons + Sparrows is an immersive video game experience that combines the best elements of Metroidvania, platforming, and puzzle-solving. Embark on a thrilling journey as a small cannon hatching from a bird’s egg, unaware that it can shoot. On your quest for self-discovery, you’ll encounter challenging battles, navigate intricate puzzles, and unlock new movement and fighting abilities. Unleash your newfound powers and set out to fight the evil cannon creatures that dwell within the dark fortress, relentlessly pillaging the forest’s precious resources.
Silent Factory (Sweden), with their game “Red Metal”
Drive to survive in RED METAL, a vehicle-combat action roguelite packed with knuckle-clenching moments and wide variety of unlockable customizations. Mow down hordes of enemies. Perform insane stunts. Dodge nuclear strikes. Just another day in the Resistance. Fuel up. Fight back.
Twigames (Ukraine), with their game “Hollow Home”
Hollow Home is an indie isometric-view narrative RPG with survival elements. Its story is inspired by events of Russo-Ukrainian war.
Nordic Game’s own Jacob Riis will host the contest, joined by three pitch battle judges: Patrick Rose (Migthy Diamonds), Kate Edwards (Geogrify), and Peter Jakobsen (Games Branding). The judges will determine the NG24 Spring Game of the Show winner, and our dear partners from Chase A Cloud will hand over the very special main prize.
The Nordic Game Pitch Battle is presented by Nordic Game and Chase A Cloud and takes place on Wednesday, 22 May at 14:00 CEST, during NG24 Spring, 21-24 May in Malmö, Sweden. All NG24 Spring pass holders are welcome to enjoy the show and cheer on their favorites.
