Games Industry Network (GIN) Returns to Nordic Game
Last year, Nordic Game partnered with a new matchmaking and business meeting platform – the Games Industry Network. GIN is taking a unique & different approach to traditional matchmaking, going beyond just setting up meetings at an event. However, Nordic Game 2025 was also the first really major event that was served by the system, and this resulted in a lot of feedback and learnings that later became channeled into GIN‘s development roadmap during 2025 and 2026.
The resulting platform updates lead to several successful deployments at other conferences later in the year, and so this year for NG26, a massively updated platform with many new features will be ready for attendees to work with. Watch a video with Harald Riegler, founder of Games Industry Network explain, right here.

Streamlining the workflow
Built by industry BD veterans, GIN’s goal is to streamline the fragmented workflow that many professionals encounter when attending conferences and managing industry contacts.
Traditionally, business development in our industry involves juggling multiple disconnected tools – from event matchmaking systems and digital directories to LinkedIn, Discord Groups and internal CRM spreadsheets. GIN is bringing key parts of these elements together in one integrated platform!
This is done by combining several key modules: a persistent B2B social network focused exclusively on the games industry, a curated industry database, a full-featured event matchmaking system, and last but not least private, well-structured community spaces for industry organisations and groups. These are combined with built-in CRM functionality, enabling users to track, organise, and prioritise their business connections in one place.
From local show to broader network
One of GIN’s distinguishing features is that connections made during conferences remain persistent within the broader network, connected to said CRM functionality. Instead of losing contact lists and conversations when events end — as is common with many event apps — users can continue managing and developing those relationships within the GIN ecosystem after an event ends. The platform also includes a global event planning module, allowing industry professionals to keep track of conferences and business opportunities throughout the year.
“GIN is being built by a team of BD professionals that has spent decades doing business development in the games industry,” says Harald Riegler, founder of Games Industry Network. “Our ambitious goal is to combine several currently fragmented tools into a single platform so professionals can manage their industry relationships and conference activity more efficiently.”
One of its core ambitions is to reduce the time spent by BD professionals on tedious tracking tasks, while at the same time lowering the barriers of entry to professional networking and business development, helping both newcomers and established companies connect more effectively.

GIN at NG26 and beyond
Nordic Game was amongst the early supporters of this new concept, recognising the potential for a unified business networking platform tailored specifically to the games industry – even as both Nordic Game and GIN went through a steep learning curve last year. This year will be a very different story – and attendees of NG26 are proudly invited to use a strongly refined platform version during the event to discover companies, connect with fellow professionals, and schedule meetings. The GIN team will also be on site to engage and continue to collect feedback for its future roadmap.
