About the Nordic Game Community
The mission of the Nordic Game community website is to sustain and share the Nordic games industry’s success by providing the latest news about the games industry in the Nordic region and Nordic Game events, such as our annual industry conference and Nordic Game Awards, as well as the Discovery Contest season tour plan, qualifiers and finals.
Nordic Game organised the first Nordic Game conference in 2004 and subsequently raised 12 million EUR from Nordic governments to found the Nordic Game Program. Nordic Game also administered the resulting Nordic game development grant program over six years for 107 projects selected from 1,277 applications, half of which have been published.
Nordic Game is driven by Nordic Game Resources AB, a privately held Swedish limited company formed in 1990 and based in Malmö, Sweden.
In 2014, Nordic Game launched a new Nordic Game conference website, and in 2017 debuted a dedicated Discovery Contest website, celebrating NGDC’s second season.
