Finnish game studio ZORG Entertainment has announced the launch of AG Drive (Anti-Gravity Drive), a largely self-funded three-year development project by games industry veterans Petsku Zorg and Timo Saarinen, the founders of ZORG Entertainment.
AG Drive is available now to download for iOS devices on the iTunes App Store in five languages; English, French, German, Spanish and Italian.
AG Drive, set in a futuristic landscape 250 years from now, takes you on the ride of your life as you drive as blazingly fast, racing against opponents on spectacular tracks that dive over and under an Earth city of the future.
The impressive, unparalleled visuals of the game world are made possible by the cutting-edge technology provided by ZORG’s own 3D engine, rendering 15 million polygons per second at 60fps even on older iOS devices.
AG Drive’s original soundtrack was produced in collaboration with several talented EDM musicians, spearheaded by Ari Pulkkinen of AriTunes – known for game sound projects such as Resogun, Angry Birds, Super Stardust, Outland, the Trine series and Dead Nation.
“I first envisioned the world of the future 17 years ago and met programmer Timo Saarinen, who shared my love for F-Zero and the Wipeout games,” explains ZORG Entertainment creative director and co-founder Petsku Zorg. “We began to dream of a racing game so bold, so huge and epic in scope, that we’d need cutting edge technology and a spectacular effort to pull it off.”
The launch of the futuristic racer is the culmination of a 17-year vision shared by the ZORG Entertainment’s co-founders, Petsku Zorg and Timo Saarinen.
“Sometimes, it felt like a dream. But other times, not. There were a lot of seriously tough times and hardships due to lack of funding, resulting in a number of setbacks, etc. In the end, when all is said and done, it was definitely worth it,” Zorg concludes.
