After seven years in development, Denmark’s frecle is now ready to take the next step with their inventive 3D puzzle game Youropa. A Kickstarter campaign has been launched with the goal of raising two million Danish crowns (ca. US$340,000) to fund completion of the game.
In Youropa, the main character wakes up to find all of their friends gone. The “Onesiders” have taken over their beautiful town, and players will need use all of the character’s abilities and their own cunning to find a way through numerous puzzles and challenges to re-take the city.
Players takes the role of a short, but capable and agile character that by some evolutionary quirk, has suction cups in the place of feet. While that might seem like a handicap, it’s really the character’s biggest strength, as it enables players to traverse places off limits for mere humans. Players can walk up walls and on ceilings, but the pull of gravity is always present, so be careful!
