Swedish game developer Modesty has announced that the studio’s critically-acclaimed mobile title The Spookening, which has sold over 500,000 units for mobile phones, will arrive on PCs this month.
To provide a smoother gameplay experience, the PC version will be controlled with either a keyboard or joypad, according to Modesty game designer Krister Karlsson.
“The Spookening is something we like to call a “scare’em up” game, where the player unfortunately dies every night and is transformed into a ghost. To not-stay-dead, players collect “life dust” from other people by scaring them,” says Karlsson. “This game formula has sold over 500,000 units on mobile phones alone, and we have equally as high expectations for PCs.”
The Spookening is available for purchase via the Humble store and other digital distributors. For more information visit www.spookening.com.
