Stockholm-based Talecore Studios’ debut title, a point-and-click fairy tale called Midvinter, will hit Steam and other digital retailers this May, the developer has announced.
In Midvinter, the player explores Swedish folklore as well as the country’s nineteenth century history of emigration. The game’s 2D artwork is completely hand-painted, and the music is based on traditional Swedish folk songs.

Talecore Studios is a Swedish one-person indie developer consisting of Anna Jenelius – a former QA manager who decided to quit her job and start her own studio. Talecore creates games with focus on narrative and simple but robust design, and Midvinter is the developer’s first attempt to do just that.
