Update: Follow the NGDC’s second season at discovery-contest.nordicgame.com!
Sweden Game Arena and Nordic Game have renewed their Nordic Game Discovery Contest partnership, with Sweden Game Conference, 18-20 October in Skövde, Sweden to host the fifth qualifier of the NGDC second season.
The fifth qualifying round of this season’s contest will take place as part of SGC on 19 October. The winner will earn a place in the Nordic Game Discovery Contest Finals at next year’s Nordic Game conference, 23-25 May.
“I think the Nordic Game Discovery Contest is a great opportunity for companies to get their game projects discovered,” says Sweden Game Conference director Magnus Ling. “Sweden Game Conference is the perfect venue as we will have so many talented teams here on site that should seize the moment and apply for the NGDC round here in Skövde.”
“When the Nordic Game Discovery Contest debuted last year, we had a great qualifying round at SGC,” adds Nordic Game program director Jacob Riis. “The heat winner, Whirlybird Games, then went all the way to the very last round at the finals at NG17 in Malmö, and the team did a splendid job on stage of the live pitch competition. I’m very excited to see which great game projects will arrive from Skövde this time around.”
Are you going to Sweden Game Conference, and do you have a game project which deserves to be discovered? Deadline for submissions is 2 October, and info about SGC, including NGDC submission, can be found here.
