Norwegian Sarepta Studio held the Nordic banner high at the Game Connection Developer Awards at the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco last week. Their game Shadow Puppeteer was nominated in no less than four categories: “Best Console/PC Hardcore”, “Best Social Game”, “Excellence in Story and Storytelling” and “Most Promising IP”, and won an award in the last category.
Finnish developers Nitro Games saw their Raids of Glory nominated in three categories: “Best Mobile/Tablets”, “Best Social Game” and “Excellence in Art”, while Medusa’s Labyrinth from Swedish Guru Games was nominated in the “Best Hardcore Game” category.
Shadow Puppeteer, which is Sarepta’s debut title and was released for PC via Steam last year, also picked-up the “Director’s Choice Award” Indie Prize at the Casual Connect conference in Amsterdam in February.
