Finnish Random Potion arranged a small meeting in Tampere this week to present their title-in-progress Project Scoundrel to local game developers for advice and input.
An online role-playing game with unique social mechanics, Project Scoundrel was well received, and the company gathered a lot of positive and constructive feedback.
Project Scoundrel is a co-operative multiplayer role-playing game with procedurally generated levels and a focus on narrative interaction between the players. According to the studio, the game is a blend of Baldur’s Gate, Vermintide and roguelikes.
Attended by twenty industry veterans such as Jari Paananen from Traplight and Karoliina Korppoo from Colossal Order, the results of the private “unveiling” were encouraging for the developers: “We’re currently in the early stages of the project, but it was clear that our ideas resonated,” says Random Potion CEO Arto Koistinen. “Our goals are ambitious, but we’re definitely heading in the right direction.”
The team is currently looking for a publisher to help them bring Project Scoundrel to PC as a premium downloadable game.
