The fourth qualifier of the Nordic Game Discovery Contest Season V was held online last week, as the NGDC returned to Brazil for the annual BIG Festival (Brazil’s Independent Games Festival).
The Israeli heavy metal music game Of Bird and Cage was pitted against the Swedish ski title Grand Mountain Adventure and Brazilian racing game Galaxy Kart in the live online pitch competition.
Although both studios Toppluva (Sweden) and VRMonkeys (Brazil) did a good job presenting their projects, Capricia Productions (Israel) dominated the fight and clinched a very convincing victory with Of Bird and Cage.
It will be exciting to see how Of Bird and Cage will do in the NGDC Grand Finals this November at the fall edition of NG21. A big thank you to all the contestants, judges and of course the BIG Festival organisers for once again hosting the NGDC.
