The NGDC submission deadline for Dev.Play in Bucharest is 18 October – apply now!
We’re now accepting submissions to participate in the fourth qualifier of the Nordic Game Discovery Contest Season IV, which will take place at Dev.Play in Bucharest, Romania on 8 November.
Dev.Play is a game development conference with Eastern Europe as its focus, organised by the Romanian Game Developers Association. The RGDA was founded in 2013 with the mission to develop and promote the game development industry in Romania.

“We’re back with the NGDC in Bucharest for the third time in a row,” says NGDC organiser and Nordic Game CCO Jacob Riis. “Over past seasons, games qualifying at Dev.Play have done really well in the contest, with Yaga winning Season II and landing a publishing deal with Versus Evil afterwards. It will be very exciting to see which games make it as contestants this year and how they perform under the pressure (and fun) on stage that’s all a part of the NGDC experience.”
“We love the Nordic Game Discovery Contest! Looking back, the contest has been a great launching platform for games coming from Romania and Eastern Europe, and we’re proud that games from our region have performed so well in this international event,” says Dev.Play founder Catalin Butnariu. “We are very happy to welcome the NGDC back to Dev.Play!”
The NGDC qualifier in Bucharest will be the fourth stop on the NGD Season IV tour. The selected game will earn a seat in the NGDC Grand Finals at Nordic Game 2020 in Malmö, Sweden as well as prizes from Xsolla, PR specialists Plan of Attack, 80 Level and influencer marketing experts Matchmade.
Are you developing or have you already developed a game that deserves more attention than it’s received so far? And are you attending Dev.Play? If so, submit your game and prepare to go on stage for the fourth qualifying round of the NGDC Season IV – and maybe all the way to the finals at NG20 next May.
