On 8 October, the Nordic Game Discovery Contest joins the upcoming digital version of the Guerrilla Game Festival in Madrid for the fourteenth qualifier of Season IV.
Guerrilla Game Festival is the video game event that brings together the entire indie development community. Three days of talks, networking and games from Spain and around the world.
Check out highlights from last year’s festival:
“The Discovery Contest will be a part of the new, digital version of Guerrilla Game Festival, and that’s fantastic,” says NGDC host and Nordic Game CCO Jacob Riis. “I’m very excited, not least to see which games will make it as contestants, and how they perform under the pressure (and fun) on stage that’s all a part of the NGDC experience.”
“We are very happy to welcome NGDC to Madrid,” adds Pedro González-Calero, main organiser of Guerrilla Game Festival. “As a young event on the European indie scene, we are really proud to connect with the prestigious Nordic Game conference and be part of the Discovery Contest.”
The qualifier in Madrid will be the fourteenth stop on the NGD Season IV tour. The selected game will win a seat in the online NGDC Grand Finals at NG20+ in Malmö, Sweden, as well as prizes from Xsolla, Versus Evil, Microsoft, PR specialists Plan of Attack and influencer marketing experts Matchmade.
