The Nordic Game Discovery Contest debuts in Oulu, Finland for the tenth qualifier of Season IV, hosted by the organisers of the Polar Bear Pitching event on 12 March.
Polar Bear Pitching is very much a community effort of the Oulu entrepreneurial ecosystem, creating snowballs of success and stripping down the barriers that block development and growth.
Check out the event intro:
“Polar Bear Pitching is perfectly suited to host a Nordic Game Discovery Contest qualifier,” says NGDC host and Nordic Game CCO Jacob Riis. “We’re very thrilled to see which games will make it as contestants and how they perform under the pressure (and fun) on stage that’s all a part of the NGDC experience.”
“We are very happy to welcome the NGDC to Oulu,” says OGC game development specialist Roberto Hanas. “We’ve been fans of the concept since the beginning and now it’s great to have the opportunity to host the NGDC in our region.”
The selected game in Oulu will win a seat in the NGDC Grand Finals at Nordic Game 2020 in Malmö, Sweden as well as prizes from Xsolla, Versus Evil, PR specialists Plan of Attack, 80 Level and influencer marketing experts Matchmade.
