Malmö-based DeadToast Entertainment founder Victor Ågren’s critically-acclaimed side-scrolling acrobatic platforming shooter My Friend Pedro is being adapted for television.
The game is a violent ballet about friendship, imagination and one man’s struggle to obliterate anyone in his path at the behest of a sentient banana.

The show will be a half-hour drama-comedy, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Derek Kolstad, the writer of the first two John Wick movies and a co-writer of the third, will write the series and serve as an executive producer.
“It’s hard to find the words to describe the journey this game has taken,” says Victor Ågren. “As a solo developer tucked away in a small corner of the world, it really makes me think that as long as you create from the right place, the result can reach even as far as the giants of Hollywood.”
