German production house remote control productions (rcp), which kicked off a venture in Finland with local development company Cursor O last year, has now commenced Finnish operations.
“We’ve been working successfully with Finnish partners for many years; the developer scene there is one of the most interesting worldwide,” says rcp founder and CEO Hendrik Lesser in a press release.
Industry veteran and IGDA Finland board chairman Jyri Partanen joins rcp in Finland as managing director. Partanen has worked in the games industry for more than 15 years and held leading roles at Rovio and Ubisoft.
“I first started working with rcp during my time with Rovio. Now I’m really proud to have the opportunity to bring their proven business model to the Finnish (game development) eco-system. The Finnish gaming industry is still growing and lots of innovative and exciting companies are being founded,” states Partanen.
