Malmö-based Kalopsia Games, a one-man indie studio founded by Italian game designer Alex Camilleri, has released Memoir En Code: Reissue for Windows, Mac and Linux OS via Steam, Humble Store and itch.io.
Memoir En Code: Reissue is an autobiographical game about love, memories and fears. Designed to be experienced like a music album, this short experimental title explores different parts of the developer’s life in a series of interactive tracks.
A follow-up to the original released in 2015, Memoir En Code: Reissue includes a new, deeply personal closing chapter, new graphics, interface and music, as well as developer commentary.
“I’ve developed Memoir En Code: Reissue with the goal of exploring autobiography in games. It’s the most personal piece of work I have ever created, which makes this release absolutely terrifying,” says the game’s creator Alex Camilleri. “I ultimately hope that more game developers will try to create very personal experiences for players to explore. I guess this is a tiny step in that direction.”
