Karmafy, a unique platform that adds direct gamified support for charity, has joined the Nordic Game Discovery Contest as a prize sponsor.
Now in its fourth season, the NGDC has established itself as an innovative, global live-pitch battle concept for identifying, presenting and promoting great studios and their games. NGDC qualifying rounds take place at partner events around the world, culminating in the prestigious NGDC Grand Finals and Finalist Expo at the Nordic Game conference in Malmö, Sweden each May.
Founded by a team of games industry veterans, Karmafy has created a platform to easily enhance your metagame and add direct gamified support for charity. Karmafy is a real-time and responsive solution to enhancing player social engagement, play-time and real-world impact. At the forefront of games for good, Karmafy helps you engage more meaningfully with your players and the world around us. For the player, it’s free.
Check out this video introduction to Karmafy:
Karmafy will provide each NGDC qualifying round winner with 500 EUR in credit towards charity and platform contributions. In effect, the Karmafy platform is free to use and so the company will cover initial charity contributions.
For the NGDC Grand Finals at NG20 this May, the season’s champion will be able to use the Karmafy platform for their first €5000 in charity contributions and platform fees free-of-charge.
“Partnering with NGDC is a wonderful way for a company such as Karmafy to support innovation and discovery,” says Karmafy CEO Jonas Eneroth. “Our platform lets players turn their time playing into real-time support for good causes in a fun and rewarding way. In turn, developers get to do good and build a strong player community.”
