The deadline to join the Games Capital Summit at NG20+ is end-of-day Thursday, 12 November. Apply now!
The Games Capital Summit returns to NG20+ on Tuesday, 24 November – a rare opportunity for venture-ready companies to connect directly with select invited VCs and strategic investors actively investing and seeking opportunities in the games sector. The Games Capital Summit takes a hands-on approach, with a focus on mentoring.
Games Capital Summit at NG20+
Hosted by Nordic Game Ventures, the Games Capital Summit at NG20+ enables entrepreneurs to both connect with potential investors and learn what it takes to be investable.
Format and logistics
The Games Capital Summit takes place on Tuesday, 24 November as an online, day-zero activity of NG20+ (25-27 November).
The action includes pitches, feedback and mentoring sessions. Each company selected to participate will pitch uninterrupted for 10 minutes in front of a small panel of investors, then receive questions and feedback for 20 minutes. You may be expected to do this up to four times during that day from early morning to late evening to meet with investors’ time zones.
All Games Capital Summit activities take place privately online on an invite-only basis – details below.
Eligibility and submissions
Entrepreneurs seeking funding for their company based on an opportunity in the game sector (i.e. game, tech, service, platform, etc.) are welcome to apply to the Games Capital Summit at NG20+ right here.
You need to be logged into your Google account to upload the necessary files.
Information required
You should be ready to submit the following:
1) A one-page PDF file, summarising your pitch deck. No links allowed.
2) A max 12 page PDF pitch deck, which must present:
• your current game or other product/service,
• planned coming products,
• the market opportunity and how you address it,
• the team that is going to deliver on this,
• what you will use the money for,
• how much money you are looking for,
• the equity or convertible terms that you offer in return and current cap table,
• contact info
• and whatever else you think will convince investors in that one single file, no omissions. No links to videos or other downloads are allowed.
The deadline is end-of-day Thursday, 12 November, so apply now!
Information shared
Your one-pager will be made available to all invited investors. Your pitch deck will be made available to all investors that attended your pitch. No personal data will be shared separately either way, but LinkedIn introductions will be made on request.
The Games Capital Summit focuses on equity funding, which implies that the investors are interested in funding companies directly in exchange for shares in your company. This summit is NOT the right venue for those mainly seeking project funding or that need a game publisher. Alternatives at NG20+ for project financing and meeting publishers are MeetToMatch and the NG20+ Publisher Market.
There is no cost to apply or participate. Submissions are filtered and prioritised based on the awesomeness of the opportunity and suitability for equity funding. Only those companies selected are invited to pitch and participate in the Games Capital Summit. You may receive feed-back on your submission, but re-submission following given advice does not guarantee participation.
Selected companies are also given two complimentary passes to the NG20+ main conference. Extras like MeetToMatch access, Developer Showcase, Publisher Market tickets, etc. can be purchased separately.
