GamesForest.Club, a non-profit organization based in Berlin, supports and encourages the gaming industry and community to invest actively in carbon absorption via planting and protecting forests.
The company’s goal is to protect and restore nature with the power of gaming, engaging the good hearts and minds of the industry. All real-life restoration activities are represented by GamesForest’s digital twin to playfully visualize and effectively communicate the engagement of each new member.
Being founded in November 2021, GamesForest.Club has already cooperated with 40 gaming companies and is now offering 17 different forest projects worldwide. With the help of its members and sponsors, the company was able to inhabit 41,600 trees and protect over 1,200,000 m² of forests.
The company has also introduced its “Travel & Restore” service, a playful and supportive way of reducing CO2 footprint after traveling. By the customized approach to every partner, GamesForest.Club can calculate CO2 emissions after each trip and advise how many square meters of forests should be protected to cover the carbon footprint.
