Update: The Games Factory has announced the first Farm League incubator mentors for 2019, which includes top names from the games publishing, investment and production.
Game Studio Incubator, a new Helsinki-based incubator for game studios founded by Games Factory, Baltic Game Industry and Metropolia University of Applied Sciences, is now accepting applications to join two unique incubator programs.
The first alternative is Remote Baltic Game Incubator (BGI) – a mentoring program fully-funded by the Baltic Game Industry EU project. It’s free-of-charge and includes weekly workshops with experienced professionals and master classes with industry veterans.
Then there’s the Farm League, where participants benefit from day-to-day support, weekly workshops with experienced professionals, master classes with industry veterans, opportunities to do work-for-hire and an active game development community at Games Factory with a network of services, support and shared office space at Games Factory in Helsinki.
“We are looking for committed teams with ambitious but realistic goals, diversity, possibly previous experience in publishing games, at least one ongoing project and a stable funding plan,” says Farm League head Suvi Kiviniemi. “Your start-up can be at a very early stage – we’ve all been there. Both entertainment and serious games are welcome. Program length is tailored, with a minimum of four months. Both English and Finnish speaking teams are welcome.”
