IGJAM #13: The InnoGames Game Jam returns

Nordic Game presents a partner message from InnoGames:

Eleven years after its premiere and five years after IGJAM #12, the 13th InnoGames Game Jam will take place from November 11 – 13, 2022. The latest edition of the popular game development event once again promises sleepless nights, endless pizza, creative excellence and lots of fun. Registration is now open. Participation – either online or on-site – is free of charge.

Game development in turbo mode: At the 13th InnoGames Game Jam, professional and amateur gaming enthusiasts of all skill levels will join forces to develop video games. From the idea to the design to the finished game – what can otherwise take months or even years happens here over a single weekend in November.

“We can’t wait to finally host another InnoGames Game Jam. Anyone who hasn’t stumbled across a budding game developer in a sleeping bag in the office on a Saturday afternoon or looked into a sea of tired but happy faces during the final game presentations on Sunday, will find it hard to comprehend what we have been missing. We are excited to see what great new games will emerge from the unique mix of innovation, collaboration, experimentation, and high time pressure that only a game jam can offer,” explained Michael Zillmer, COO and Co-Founder of InnoGames.

At IGJAM #13, the focus is once again on fun – but developers looking for a competitive element will not be disappointed. At the end of the jam, everyone will have the opportunity to play and evaluate the games that have been created, with the winners promptly announced on both the IGJAM website www.igjam.eu and on InnoGames’ social media channels. The rights to the games developed during the Jam remain with the respective teams.

This is Slush

This is Slush
Slush has grown from a single gathering in Helsinki to a series of events organised all around the world. The crown-jewel event is the annual Slush event, but Slush also hosts smaller get-togethers around the globe.

It all started in 2008 in Helsinki with a one-day affair made up of around 250 people. While the size of the Slush event has grown by leaps and bounds, the goal has stayed the same: focus on how best to serve start-up ecosystems across the world.

As a company, Slush serves start-ups, founders and investors through the main annual Slush event as well as Slush products: start-up media Soaked by Slush, online community Node by Slush and smaller global events Slush’D.

If you are Slush ticket holder and/or registered with Slush, you can find Nordic Game Helsinki activities scheduled in the list of partner side events on the Slush platform website here (login required).
