Update! Begin next week at Creative Coast Festival, including speakers from Nintendo, a skate ramp and a great party 🙂 Free admittance!
Starting 16 May in Karlshamn and ending 20 May in Malmö, Nordic Game 2016 (NG16) and the Creative Coast Festival (CCF) present Creative Nordic Week – a week full of business, play and digital creativity in Sweden’s southeast.
Together, the two events aim to strengthen both local and global talent by working together, with a line-up of speakers ranging from Hideo Kojima (Kojima Productions), Tim Sweeney (Epic Games) at N16 to Phoenix Perry (Code Liberation Foundation) and Jennifer Kanary (Labyrinth Psychotica) at CCF.
“At the Creative Coast Festival, we’ve been fans of what the Nordic Game conference has been doing for years. With their cutting edge line-ups in both the speakers and companies they present, they’ve been the place to do business since (they began) in 2004,” says CCF organiser Johan Toresson. “I firmly believe what Erik, Jacob and the others (at Nordic Game) have done is unprecedented – starting out so early, and continuously growing without letting the quality of the conference slip.”
“Johan approached me in late 2014 with the concept that was to become the Creative Coast Festival, and from our point of view it’s an excellent addition to the region and its ever-growing digital sector,” says Nordic Game organiser Jacob Riis. “With its mash-up of games, music and other digital disciplines, CCF has created a space for the exploration of the boundaries of the mediums themselves.”
