
In their latest funding round, the Norwegian Film Institute (NFI) has awarded a total of seven million NOK (ca. 830,000 USD) for the development of eight Norwegian games.
“There were 34 submissions in this round, with a wide range of both applications and allocations,” says NFI’s Kaja Hench Dyrlie. “This (round) shows that there’s great activity and high quality in the Norwegian games industry.”
The Norwegian games awarded support are:
Chess for Kids with Magnus, Play Magnus AS (500,000 NOK)
Fishing: Barents Sea, Misc Games AS (500,000 NOK)
Pode, Henchmann & Goon AS (700,000 NOK)
Mesmer, Rain AS (500,000 NOK)
Einherjar TTG, Turbo Tape Games AS (800,000 NOK)
IGI – We Go In!, Artplant AS (2,000,000 NOK)
The Fold, Antagonist AS (500,000 NOK)
Fight, Megapop AS (1,500,000 NOK)
