Update: Follow the NGDC’s second season at discovery-contest.nordicgame.com!
The Nordic Game Discovery Contest joins Portuguese GameDev Camp this month to stage the seventh NGDC qualifier of the competition’s second season.
GameDev Camp takes place on 24 November in Lisbon, and the winner of seventh qualifying round of this season’s NGDC will earn a place in the Nordic Game Discovery Contest finals at next year’s Nordic Game conference, 23-25 May 2018.
“The Nordic Game Discovery Contest is a great add-on to GameDev Camp and an amazing opportunity for all Portuguese game developers, companies or projects to get their games discovered, viewed by an international jury and win the opportunity to attend one of the best game industry events in Europe, Nordic Game,” says says GameDev Camp organiser Ricardo Flores.
“We’re very excited to bringing the Nordic Game Discovery Contest to Lisbon,” adds Nordic Game program director Jacob Riis. “The game development scene in Portugal is growing, and it will be very interesting to see which great game projects will be submitted to the contest – and which one will go all the way to the finals in May.”
Are you going to GameDev Camp, and do you have a game project which deserves to be discovered? The deadline for submissions to the NGDC qualifying round in Lisbon is 9 November, so find out how to apply here!

About Appodeal
Appodeal was founded by app publishers for app publishers. Appodeal was originally created in 2011 as an in-house ad mediation solution for Alfa Production, a mobile apps publishing company with a monthly audience of 4M active users across all apps.
After experimenting with most of the ad networks, mediators, and app monetization tools on the market to monetize Alfa’s apps, founder & CEO Pavel Golubev was surprised to learn their in-house publisher-centric ad mediation platform actually performed the best — increasing their apps’ ad revenue by an impressive ~270%.
Golubev then realized that all mobile ad tools simply put the advertisers’ interests first, not the publishers. As a result, he decided to launch Appodeal to the public in 2015 — bringing the power back to the mobile app publishers.
Thanks to its innovative publisher-centric ad marketplace where ad networks compete against each other in real-time for every ad impression, Appodeal has significantly increased ad revenue for app publishers and has been growing rapidly ever since.
