NG21 Autumn, the fourth online edition of Nordic Game is getting very close now, with new speakers revealed on a daily basis. Among the latest profiles to join the fall roster are developer legend Denis Dyack, Plague Tale creator Kevin Choteau and Electronic Arts director Tülay McNally.
“I’m extremely happy to welcome the latest speakers to join the NG21 Autumn schedule,” says Nordic Game program director Jacob Riis. “When asked about program highlights this fall, there are so many – it really depends on the kind of content you’re looking for. But we’re working very hard to cover as many important, current topics in the industry as possible.”
So there should be something for everyone in the NG21 Autumn program – not only the over 100 speakers and their talks on 2-5 November, but all of the amazing content from the May edition as well, accessible to pass holders beginning on Sunday, 31 October.
Here are just a few examples of what’s in store for you during NG21 Autumn:
Denis Dyack, CEO, Apocalypse
A video game industry veteran of more than 30 years, with legendary titles such as Blood Omen, and Eternal Darkness to his credit. Now founder and CEO of Apocalypse, a cloud-first game development studio. Currently working on Deadhaus Sonata, a narrative-driven action RPG where you play the undead fighting the living.
Tülay McNally, Director, Inclusive Design, EA
Nordic Game Impact Sessions are back for November, with a great talk between Impact Sessions curator Kate Edwards and Tülay McNally, Director of Inclusive Design at EA to kick-off the program. Inclusive design is about designing for as diverse a range of people as possible. It is a philosophy that encourages us to consider gender, age, sexuality, ethnicity, culture & customs, religious beliefs and more. This talk focuses on building products and services in light of this understanding.
Petri Alanko, Thomas Puha, Remedy Entertainment
In this joint fireside chat, Remedy communications director Thomas Puha and award-winning composer Petri Alanko give insights into their work on Alan Wake Remastered and the studio’s journey to bring an 11-year-old classic to new audiences.
