Finnish mobile game developer Critical Force has revealed that their popular mobile FPS Critical Ops has reached the 25 million downloads milestone. Critical Ops also has 860,000 DAU, with 77,000 new players joining the game daily.
“It is interesting to think that the amount of people who have downloaded Critical Ops is over four times larger than the total population of Finland,” says Critical Force CEO Veli-Pekka Piirainen. “Reaching 25 million downloads is an important milestone, because it proves that Critical Ops has become a huge viral phenomenon (and) that there is a massive demand for high quality competitive multiplayer FPS mobile games.”

Critical Force together with Valiance.gg will also host the biggest online Critical Ops tournament yet on 20 August, featuring a 10,000 USD cash prize pool. Four teams qualified for the event earlier in the summer; King Uprising, Imperial, GankStars and SetToDestroyX.
“(Though) originally a live event, we decided to arrange this online tournament with Valiance.gg and spice it up with an unprecedented prize pool of 10,000 dollars,” says Critical Force CEO Veli-Pekka Piirainen.
