The time to act is now if you plan to apply for funding from the European Union’s Creative Europe program to develop your next game project – the submission deadline is 2 March.
The EU supports the development of video games in order to strengthen the competitiveness of the European video game developers and increase the diversity of games available to European and international audiences.
Funding is available for the development of innovative narrative games intended for commercial distribution. Experienced European game developers are eligible to apply for support, ranging from 10K-150K EUR. Funds can be used for development and production of a first playable prototype, to a maximum of 50 per cent of the costs incurred during this phase.
Contact your national Creative Europe Desk here before you commence working on your application. More information on the video game support program here.
