If you’re already attending Nordic Game 2015, you might want to extend your trip to Southern Sweden for an extra week. The first Creative Coast Festival has just been announced on 29 May in Karlshamn.
Here’s info from the organisers:
The first annual Creative Coast Festival aims to be a gathering spot for games, music, movies, sound and digital/post-digital art. For creatives, by creatives.
The Creative Coast Festival will be a day of talks, food, exhibitions and celebration, with speakers like Karin Ryding of Ozma Games, Mårten Stockhaus of Ubisoft Massive and Bram Ruiter of Super Game Jam fame. We’ll also gather for the Creative Coast Awards for Sweden’s Game Concept Challenge, where we celebrate the skilled teams taking part in our 200,000 SEK prize pool, like Forgotten Key with their game AER, Gatling Goat Studios with Traverser and Stormhatt Studios with Barmark, and many more! Submissions are open, and the deadline is 10 May – so feel free to get in touch!
About the Creative Coast Festival
The Creative Coast Festival is a collaboration between Gameport (Blekinge Business Incubator), Blekinge Institute of Technology (BTH), Netport Science Park and Sparbanken i Karlshamns Näringslivsstiftelse, as well as the municipality of Karlshamn. The goal is to create an annual festival, and each of the collaborators have put money and time into the project. All parties are committed to making this an annual festival, and to grow the event into something with unique opportunities for interaction between companies, consumers and the public.
We’re looking forward to seeing you!
