The Copenhagen Games Festival on 6-10 April will bring together Nordic Game Jam, Spilprisen (Danish Games Award), CPH Games Conference and much more in Denmark’s capital, gathering game designers, programmers, graphic artists, business experts, gamers as well as game-interested locals and tourists from around the region and the world for five event-filled days.
How are Danish games relevant?
190 Danish game companies, 735 full-time designers, programmers and innovative talents with a turnover increase of 196 per cent in the last six years – reasons enough to put the Danish games industry on the national and international map, both geographically, politically, culturally and commercially. Copenhagen Games Festival is set-up to celebrate just that – and you can be part of it!
Games all around town
Made by game developers for game developers, the Copenhagen Games Festival will fill the city with games, creativity, technology and innovation. Parallel with the main program, a series of workshops, events and happenings will also take place – see the schedule below – and get information on how to participate and sign-up right here.
Who’s on board?
The Copenhagen Games Festival is only possible because of the industry’s support, knowledge and engagement. Copenhagen Game Festival is organised by a steering committee with members from IGDA Denmark (Nordic Game Jam organiser), the Danish Producers Association and Interactive Denmark, who besides organising the CPH Games Conference, will manage the week-long festival. The City of Copenhagen is also a festival partner through its support of Interactive Denmark.
