Southern Sweden (and Malmö in particular) has in record time become a game development hotspot, with more developers and studios per capita than even London and Stockholm. Games are being developed for all platforms and genres in the region, reaching hundreds of millions of players worldwide.
Game Habitat, a non-profit dedicated to creating the best possible environment for everything and everyone related to game development in Southern Sweden, has created a video introducing some of the studios and people in the local community (including Nordic Game, organisers of the annual Nordic Game conference in Malmö and NGDC live pitch events across Europe).
Featured in the video are Massive Entertainment MD David Polfeldt, Nordic Game program director Jacob Riis, The Game Assembly business developer Ann Sofie Sydow, Nordic Game Resources MD Erik Robertson, King Malmö studio head Daniel Svärd, Midnight Hub co-founder Sara Casén, Forgotten Key CEO Robin Hjelte and Game Habitat project manager Eliana Oikawa.
