Canadian HitGrab Game Labs has qualified for the NGDC Season V Grand Finals via jury selection as a member of the Canada @Nordic Game Mission that participated in NG21 May.
There are several ways a game studio can qualify for the Nordic Game Discovery Grand Finals; like victory in the regional qualifiers and wild card selection at the end of the season.
The third qualification path is via jury selection as a member of a group delegation participating in the spring or fall edition of Nordic Game.
This is the case for Toronto-based studio HitGrab Game Labs, who participated in NG21 May as part of the Canada @Nordic Game Mission, organised by Interactive Ontario in cooperation with the Canadian Trade Commission Service in Sweden and Invest in Canada.
Their game Clan O’Conall and the Crown of the Stag, developed with the support of Ontario Creates, swayed the NGDC expert panel of judges with its Celtic-themed action saga, battles and puzzle-solving in beautiful, hand-drawn landscapes.

HitGrab with Clan O’Conall is now ready for the NGDC Season V Grand Finals, streaming live from NG21 Autumn in Malmö, Sweden on 2-5 November. Big congrats to the team at HitGrab and a warm thank you to our partners in Canada. Good luck in the finals!

About the Nordic Game conference
Nordic Game is the leading games conference in Europe, and 2021 marks its nineteenth and twentieth editions. Gathering thousands of industry professionals in the spring and autumn each year, Nordic Game is the one and only “home turf” meeting place for the highly successful game developers of Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden.
Nordic Game doubles up again following our spring edition last May with NG21 Autumn and the Nordic Game Expo on 2-7 November, expanding Nordic Game 2021 into a hybrid event, both online and on-stage at Malmö Convention Center, as well as launching a new consumer-oriented expo in the same venue in Malmö, to share the excitement of making games with a wider audience.
