Finnish Boomlagoon, creators of the critically acclaimed Monsu and Spirit Hunter titles, has announced their upcoming real‐time multi-player battle arena (MOBA) game Super Soldiers, slated for release on iOS later this year.
In Super Soldiers, two players battle each other using teams of three soldiers, with team formation, weapon and building tactics as well as battle strategy determining victory or defeat in the game.
Each of the 40 collectible soldiers in Super Soldiers is also unique, featuring their own special weapons, and capable of building turrets, mortars and “critter towers” in the battlefield.
With Super Soldiers, Boomlagoon is seeking to engage players with an open, “player-first” development method, including a regular blog and forum interaction with the game’s developers, as well as player-voting on game changing mechanics via the Super Soldiers website.
“We’ve been known as a developer and publisher that doesn’t shy away from taking high risks when it comes to our games,” says Boomlagoon CEO Antti Stén. “Super Soldiers is the culmination of everything we’ve done until now, and it will reshape competitive gaming on mobile.”
