Nordic Game Jam celebrates its tenth anniversary next month, and this year participants can look forward to keynotes from two design masterminds from Blizzard Entertainment.
Jesse McCree, lead game designer at Blizzard, has worked at the company for ten years and had his hand at games like Starcraft Ghost, Reaper of Souls, as well as Diablo and World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade.

Joining him is Blizzard’s lead designer Kevin Martens. Martens worked at BioWare on games like Jade Empire, Dragon Age: Origins and the Baldur’s Gate series before moving to Blizzard in 2009 and becoming lead designer in 2012.

Nordic Game Jam 2016 will take place Friday-Sunday, 8-10 April at Aalborg University in Copenhagen, Denmark. The new April date (as opposed to the past few years’ February scheduling) means that participants will get to enjoy a much warmer Copenhagen, as well as the upcoming Copenhagen Games Festival that same week, which Nordic Game Jam is a big part of.
Nordic Game Jam is organised entirely by volunteers via the Danish chapter of the International Game Developers Association (IGDA Denmark) with the help of sponsors – among these the Nordic Game 2016 conference, 18-20 May, Malmö, Sweden.
