Update: Ste can only accept a few more of your industry confessions – send him yours and get sweet absolution 🙂
It has been six months since my last confession.
Tuesday, 26nd October, London, England: Ste Curran makes a third appeal for your industry confessions, promising to absolve your guilty conscience one more time at NG21.
Look, you know the drill by now. We all have secrets, little ones and big ones, and they eat us from the inside. I’d like you to share them with me, anonymously, and I’ll read them out and lift the burden. We’ve done it twice before and both times we’ve learned that we’re all terrible and none of us are as bad as we think. It’s time to let the pressure off again.
What have you got away with? How much of your working from home is sleeping? Does your art director think you’re a rising star when you’re just good at googling “nice palette”? Is your commented code at best abusive, occasionally libellous? Does something work in your game and, well, you don’t really know why? Did you let a class A through just to see if Sony were paying attention (they weren’t)? Did you once confuse Cliffy B with Owen Wilson at an Xbox party and tell him that you thought that Scooby Doo was pretty good, all things considered?
Fill it out with your confession – the results are completely anonymous but if you want you can make it more anonymous by using a VPN and wearing a mask.
And if somehow, somehow, this works out all over again, we’ll do it in real life in May.
I can’t wait to forgive you.
Ste.
