Update: We’ve now closed internship applications for Nordic Game 2018. A warm thank you to all of you that applied, and welcome to our new additions to the NG18 team!
We’re looking for someone with a burning interest in games, development, organisation, media/press and a producer role, simply someone who can be the spider in the net. You should be an independent and structured person, but who can also be social with others. You master the computer fully, with additional skills such as Google Docs and MS office package meritorious. You should be able to write in fluent Swedish and be proficient in English, as we work very internationally. If you can juggle many balls in the air and are a problem solver, then you’re the one we are looking for. We work in a tight team where you’ll be included all the way.
Here are a few comments from folks that have interned with Nordic Game 🙂
”The internship was very giving in many ways. I learnt many new things like making an offer regarding deals with sponsors and organising bigger events for example. Since I was given freedom regarding a lot of decisions, I was forced to consider options carefully instead of just follow direct orders without having to think myself. It also made me feel like a big part of the team and not some coffee making person in the background. I also thought a lot of how I could compliment the team best and find my part in all of it since there is so much to do at once. In the end it felt great”
“Finally I would say that a person who is comfortable with responsibility, does not need too much guidance, able to think and act with flexibility, communicative and knows how to juggle many areas of priority will have an incredible time with the NG!”
”Like I mentioned before, the freedom of making decisions (within reason of course) really made me feel like a team member and helped me learn a lot more – as well as the opportunity to help different members of the team with different things. Thank you all for being kind and understanding even with the stress hanging over your heads.”
“I want to say that I really enjoyed working with all of you! You’re an odd but warm and welcoming group of people.”
“Over the course of my internship with NG I have met a whole lot of people in the industry. For someone interested in the games industry, but also other types of events, this is a fantastic opportunity to meet and introduce yourself to the right connections. The biggest reward is of course the conference itself. That is where you will see the fruit of your efforts and also a fantastic environment to be around.”
