Finnish mobile game developer Kukouri has released the studio’s 2015 financial results and announced the release their Tiny Troopers series on MS Xbox One, as well as plans to bring the popular franchise to the China.
Last year Kukouri had a turnover of 750K EUR with profits of 250K EUR, according to the developer. “Most of the revenue was generated by our latest release Tiny Troopers: Alliance,” says Kukouri CEO Kim Soares. “However, long-tail revenue from our older titles was also good.”
The Kotka-based studio has developed three different Tiny Troopers titles for mobile platforms, with more than 22 million downloads. The games have been ported to Sony PlayStation platforms and Samsung smart TVs.
Tiny Troopers: Joint Ops for Xbox One was also launched on 26 February – check out the release trailer:
“We are (currently) developing a completely new kind of game, (focusing) on the social interactions between players. We believe that is going to be even more important in mobile games in the future,” Soares adds. “At the same time, Tiny Troopers will continue storming new fronts: besides Xbox One, we (also) have Chinese mobile releases lined-up for this year.”
Finnish Kukouri Mobile Entertainment was founded in 2011, and is best known for their Tiny Troopers game series.
