Danish Reto-Moto has released a “Planes & Ladders” update, featuring new planes and leader boards, for their popular F2P WWII title Heroes & Generals.
With the addition of new fighter planes, all three factions in the game now have two medium fighter planes besides a reconnaissance airplane and a heavy fighter, bringing the total number of planes to 12 – with more on the way.
Players in Heroes & Generals can now also compare their performance with other players across a wide variety of activities and achievements with more than 30 new leader boards, covering not only classic stats like kills and headshots, but also stats for support roles, tactical actions and how good generals are at commanding their troops.

“We’re really excited about giving the players another layer of engagement for Heroes & Generals with the new leader boards. I’m especially glad that we, besides the usual boards with kills, etc. also give credit to support roles and other aspects of the game,” says Reto-Moto game director Jacob Andersen. “It is a team effort and eventually we would like to expand the leader boards to cover enough aspects of the game for every player to find a board where he ranks high on or even for players to set up their own leader boards using an open API.”
Heroes & Generals has over 10 million players worldwide and is available for PC at www.heroesandgenerals.com
Danish developer Reto-Moto was founded in 1997 and quickly transformed into IO Interactive, which went on to release Hitman and Freedom Fighters. After the sale of IO Interactive to Eidos in 2004, the original Reto-Moto studio was reformed in central Copenhagen. Their inaugural game Heroes & Generals has been released for PC on Steam.
