Zur has done a original music scores for a wealth of games, among them the Dragon Age series, Prince of Persia, Disney’s Fantasia, and not least the great score in Fallout 4:
His session at NG17 will be an in depth discussion on what makes music sounds “original” and the different ways to achieve it. Zur will discuss in particular the score for Fallout 4 as an example, and play music examples to demonstrate his theory. He will even reveal some personal “secret” techniques and ways to create a unique sounding score that can work efficiently with the game, but also stand on their own as musical independent pieces. Zur will also discuss some of his private sound sampling techniques and how to use them in the score.
